Plymouth Educational Center - Administrators Bio

Nicole D. Stokes has over nine years' experience in the profession of human resources management.

Mrs. Stokes has held several HR management positions in long-term care, human services and the education industry in the public & private sector. Prior to joining Plymouth Educational Center, Mrs. Stokes served in human resources for five years at Lutheran Social Services of Michigan (LSSM), the 5th largest not-for-profit social service agency in Michigan. While at LSSM, Mrs. Stokes was credited for her outstanding leadership in developing & implementing a web-based employee safety & wellness program. In addition, Mrs. Stokes received commendations from senior management for her leadership, work, and commitment to the agency's continuous quality improvement initiatives. In her current role as Human Resources Director, Mrs. Stokes will partner with and provide leadership, strategy and support to the PEC Administrative team and staff. In addition, Mrs. Stokes is responsible for management and coordination of HR practices, policies and procedures, employee relations, benefits and compensation administration, recruitment, and performance management.

Mrs. Stokes received a bachelor's degree from Siena Heights University and is currently pursing a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Central Michigan University. Mrs. Stokes and her husband have been married for 15 years and have one daughter. A member of Christian Tabernacle Church in Southfield, Mrs. Stokes has faithfully served in several leadership capacities. She currently serves as leader for the Graphics and Communications Ministry.
