Located in a big city, there’s never a shortage of things to do in and around Plymouth Educational Center. 

Belle Isle Park: This urban park was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead and includes the Belle Isle Zoo. It sits in the middle of the Detroit River. Enjoy the history when you visit!

Charles H Wright Museum of African American History: The Wright Museum opens minds and changes lives through the exploration and celebration of African American history and culture. An amazing adventure of history, art and achievement awaits you or your group at The Wright!

Detroit Historical Museum: Since its founding in 1921, the Detroit Historical Society has been dedicated to ensuring that the history of our region is preserved so that current and future generations of metro Detroiters can better understand the people, places and events that helped shape our lives.

Eastern Market: This 4.5-acre farmer’s market is sure to get your family eating well. It’s open every Saturday year-round as well as additional days during the fall.

Michigan Science Center: With live stage shows, an IMAX Dome Theatre, a planetarium, 250+ hands-on exhibits, lab activities, special exhibits and more, there are approximately two dozen ways to customize your MiSci visit. There’s more than you can see and do in a week!
